Il Convento Tradition and Passion since 1935

On the gentle hills of Massa Lubrense, with a breathtaking view of the magnificent island of Capri, the agricultural estate "Il Convento" stretches out to share the precious gifts of the land. The estate takes its name from the ancient adjacent convent, dating back to the 1300s and once belonging to the Order of Minims, monks who followed a rule of poverty and dedicated themselves to farming the fields. Today, it preserves and renews that love for the land, offering products that embody the soul of this unique place.

A long-standing family tradition

It all began in 1935, when farmer Antonino Pollio purchased the land that had once been cultivated by the monks to produce wine, olive oil, and rosolio, but had been left abandoned. From that moment, the Pollio family revived and enhanced the land, dedicating themselves to growing lemons for the famous limoncello of the Sorrento Coast.
